Location

Various classrooms thorugh out the building.  Students will be given their testing location the morning of the PSAT, in their first class of the day.

What is the PSAT?

The PSAT measures critical reading, math problem-solving, and

writing skills developed over many years. Students won't have to recall facts from literature, history, or science, or complete math formulas, as this test measures reasoning and critical thinking skills.

What Takes the PSAT?

9th graders will take the PSAT 8/9 test-visit for more information. Learn more about PSAT 8/9.

• All 9th graders will be taking the PSAT 8/9 digitally and will need to bring their PWCS laptop and charger. Laptops should be fully charged. If your student does not have a device, they must see Ms. Lawlor or Ms. Coleman in the library prior to test day. Loaner devices are limited on test day.

10th & 11th graders will take the PSAT/NMSQT test digitally and will need to bring their PWCS laptop and charger. Laptops should be fully charged. If your student does not have a device, they must see Ms. Lawlor or Ms. Coleman in the library before test day. Loaner devices are limited on test day. Student Guides will be provided through student’s English class.

Why Take the PSAT?

To get feedback about critical academic skills, to practice for the SAT Reasoning Test, to start getting ready for college, and to enter scholarship competitions.

What to bring

A fully charged and updated PWCS laptop and charger.
