What is "Code Orange", and what does it mean?

PWCS recently introduced the "Code Orange" day for inclement weather.  "Code Orange"  will be used with weather conditions make roads and side walks unsafe, but did not create major disruptions to utility services and internet.  

What happens on a "Code Orange" day?

  • School buildings will be closed
  • Busses will not run
  • OPHS students will work remotely on make-up work and remediation
  • OPHS teachers will have Zoom links posted for a Support Office Hour, which student will use to get extra help and support on their make-up or remediation work.

All teachers have posted their "Code Orange Day" Buzzy image, that is linked to the Zoom meeting,  at the bottom of their Canvas course homepages.  Students should look for an image like the one below.

Teachers' Office Hours will be based on the subject that they teach.  Below you will find a list of the Office Hours that we will be using at OPHS.  Your ITC, TSSPEC, and Librarians will be available from 9:00am to 2:00pm via email.
