 Student Parking

Hello OP family,

For those families that are returning to the building, WELCOME BACK!!!!!

We have received several emails regarding the purchase of parking passes for the remainder of the school year. We understand that these are trying times for all families so, with that in mind, the parking passes for the remainder of the year will be handed out at no cost.

Please be aware that parking spaces are limited and we will still need to keep a record of student vehicles that will be parking on school grounds. If you plan on allowing your student to drive to school, the parking pass application will need to be filled out and turned in to the school before your student can receive a parking pass. Your student should bring the signed parking pass application, with their driver’s license, to the main office in the morning. They will receive their parking pass prior to leaving for the day.

To maintain the “Parking Pass” tradition, February 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th will be designated as SENIOR ONLY distribution. Underclassman parking pass distribution will begin on February 8th. Parking enforcement will begin on February 22nd. Passes must be displayed in student vehicles beginning February 22nd to avoid fines.

At dismissal students must follow directions and form a single line of traffic to exit the parking lot. Traffic cones will be placed to block exits and to maintain a safe traffic flow.

If students are found parking illegally (including parking decals not displayed, vehicles not registered and parking in Staff Parking lot) the following consequences will occur:

1st Offense- A BRIGHT ORANGE warning sticker will be placed on the driver’s side window and the license plate will be documented in a database.

2nd Offense- A warning sticker will be placed on the vehicle; a disciplinary referral will be written and the parking violator will be assigned school consequences. Parents will receive phone notification and/or written correspondence of offense and consequence.

3rd Offense- A warning sticker will be placed on the vehicle; disciplinary referral will be written and the parking violator will be assigned elevated school consequences from first offense. Parents will receive phone notification and/or written correspondence of offense and consequence.

4th Offense- Violators vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense

*PARENTS please make sure that your student has read and understands the Rules Regarding Student Driving, Parking and Use of Vehicles located at the bottom of the Student Parking Permit Application before signing.

On Tuesday February 22nd, Permit Parking Rules Will Be Enforced

Speed limit on school grounds at 10 mph
